Position Title

Testing Technician (Psychometrist) 

Hours: Full time, ranging from 35-40 hours per week



Neuropsychology Associates, a thriving private practice on the north side of Indianapolis, has an immediate opening for a testing technician (psychometrist) to meet rapidly expanding need for services. Responsibilities include administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests including measures of cognitive, academic, and motor abilities as well as inventories of personality and psychological functioning under the direct supervision of licensed psychologists.  



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution

  • Preference will be given to candidates with testing experience and/or advanced coursework relevant to the position



  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact patiently and professionally

  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills

  • Strong methodical and detail-oriented skills

  • Ability to communicate with colleagues in a clear and efficient manner regarding the distribution of testing and scoring materials

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and score a range of neuropsychological and psychological tests under the supervision of a licensed psychologist

  • Adhere to standardized testing procedures

  • Observe and use judgment in determining the specific needs of each patient while maintaining standardization

  • Manage behavioral and motivational issues that may arise in the context of the assessment

  • Complete all scoring in an accurate and timely manner

  • Use computerized test administration and scoring programs

  • Ensure confidentiality of test results and recommendations; maintain security of testing materials.

  • Document behavioral observations of patients during testing

  • Other duties as assigned
